The Manvel Volunteer Fire Department is located in Manvel, Texas, a small city, 20 miles south of Houston, in northern Brazoria County. Manvel Volunteer Fire Department was established in April of 1953 and was serving basically a rural and farming area. The typical home was on 1-5 or more acres. The Fire Department is a combination volunteer/paid department composed of 21 active Firefighters, six members being career fire fighters working in other jurisdictions.
